A and E Navigator Programme

This Privacy Notice is designed to help you understand how and why the A&E Navigator Programme processes your personal data. This notice should be read in conjunction with the Council’s Corporate Privacy Notice.

Who are we?

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is a ‘Data Controller’ as defined by Article 4(7) of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

The A&E Navigator Programme is funded by the Cleveland Unit for the Reduction of Violence (CURV) and delivered by A&E Navigators employed by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. The service supports young people aged 10–24 from across the Cleveland area who attend Accident and Emergency in crisis, are suspected of being involved in serious violence, or may be vulnerable to violence, exploitation or other harm.

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is responsible for the personal information created and held by the A&E Navigators. Other organisations that receive information for their own statutory or support functions will normally be responsible for how they subsequently use that information.
