Redcar and Cleveland is on the cusp of change. Over the past few years, our area has received millions of pounds worth of investment, resulting in significant regeneration projects being developed.
This investment will help transform our towns and villages across the borough.
As a Council, it’s our role, alongside partners, to help ensure that local people share in this prosperity.
We aim to support skills development, housing development, transport and infrastructure development as well as help our leisure, tourism and retail sectors to thrive.
Redcar and Cleveland has economic assets that most places would dream of. We have world-class industry as well as magnificent countryside and coastline that provides a wonderful place to live, work and visit. But the borough also contains some of the most disadvantaged communities in the country, with high unemployment, crime and poor health.
Delivering these projects is just one way we’re looking to redress this balance and make the most of the opportunities we have.
