It's been a magical, Christmassy day at Saltburn Ice Trail.
At least 8,000 people packed the town’s streets to enjoy the nine amazing ice sculptures created for the fun trail by artists from the Sand In Your Eye organisation.
There was also live ice-carving, a workshop, street performances, Saltburn Farmers Market, theatre and music.
Councillor Carrie Richardson, Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council Cabinet Member for Climate and Culture and Deputy Leader, said:
“What a magical day. Saltburn always has such a wonderfully, Christmassy atmosphere at this time of year anyway – but the day of the ice trail is something else, something truly special.
“Seeing these photographs of children and families enjoying the live sculpting and street performances or just perusing the brilliant market is enough to warm anyone’s heart, no matter how cold the day.
“Thank you to everyone involved, including the businesses of the town and our sponsors, Miller Homes, Arriva and Bob Little & Co who helped make this brilliant day possible.”
