A multi-million pound investment in children’s services in Redcar and Cleveland has been hailed a success following major increases in numbers of parents and children using Family Hub centres.

A community rugby club is celebrating after winning funding to create what is believed to be the country’s first pitch dedicated solely for women and girls in the country.

Inspectors have praised the leadership of a children’s home as “outstanding” and said staff at the home had built trust with the children and helped keep them secure and safe.
