We are preparing a new Local Plan that will replace the Adopted Redcar & Cleveland Local Plan 2018 and will form part of the statutory development plan for the borough.
The Local Plan will set out how the area of the borough outside of the North York Moors National Park will grow over the plan period and will include the vision, objectives and strategy for growth.
It will include policies relating to matters of housing and economic growth, infrastructure, environmental protection and other local issues.
It will not include policies relating to minerals and waste matters as it is intended that these will be included in a separate Tees Valley Joint Minerals and Waste Local Plan.
