Planning
The Regulatory Committee considers planning applications that have been referred to it for a decision, some applications are decided by planning officers under ‘delegated powers’.
The Regulatory Committee has a Chairman and Vice Chairman and other elected Councillors. Officers will be at the meeting to advise the Committee and make a formal record of the meeting.
Members of the public can attend and observe the Regulatory Committee in person, by contacting Democratic Services at least three days before the meeting with the expression of interest.

Licensing
The Committee is responsible for overseeing the Council’s licensing and related functions and discharges the day to-day decision-making on these to the Regulatory Committee (Licensing Hearing) or Council Officers, depending on the nature of the decision to be made.
