A formal decision is made on every planning application submitted to us.
We can approve (with or without conditions) or refuse an application. The majority of applications are determined by officers under delegated powers.
Major and more controversial applications are determined by Regulatory Committee who generally meet on a 3-4 weekly basis. An officers' report will be prepared for each application that is to be determined by the committee and these are made available as part of the meeting agenda.
