Cabinet members at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council will be updated on the distribution of £500,000 of funding to support voluntary grass roots sports clubs across the borough when they meet on Tuesday 10 June.

Councillor Ian Hart has been officially invested as the new Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland at a special ceremony held today (Thursday 29 May) at Redcar Civic Centre.

Thousands of people are expected at one of the country’s biggest kite festivals in Redcar on Saturday and Sunday 15 and 16 June.
