Residents, businesses and visitors are being invited to share their views on early proposals to improve Station Road and Queen Street in Redcar.
Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council is hosting a public drop-in session at Redcar Station on Thursday 30 July, from noon until 7pm, where people can view the designs, ask questions and speak directly with council officers. No appointment is needed.
The proposals form part of ongoing efforts to enhance Redcar town centre and build on recent improvements to Redcar Station and the surrounding area.
Visitors to the event will also have the opportunity to see the newly transformed station and find out more about plans to further improve this important gateway into the town.
Those unable to attend can view the proposals and submit comments online from Friday 31 July until Friday 14 August via the council's engagement platform at redcarcleveland.uk.engagementhq.com
Councillor Lynn Pallister MBE, Cabinet Member for Growth and Enterprise, said:
"We're keen to hear residents' views at this early stage as we continue to invest in Redcar town centre. Redcar Station and Station Road form a key gateway into the town – they're often the first things people see when they step off a train, creating an important first impression of Redcar.
"We want this area to reflect the pride we have in our town and showcase what a great place Redcar is to live, work, visit and invest. I'd encourage everyone to come along, view the proposals and share their feedback. It's also a great opportunity to visit the newly transformed Redcar Station and see first-hand the positive changes taking place."
