Children experiencing foster care produced a calendar on the theme of When I Grow Up I Want to Be…’
Some of the younger children’s images contain messages from the profound and beautiful, e.g, ‘I want to be having a picnic under a rainbow’ to the funny…’I want to be Mario!’
Others, from older children, express ambitions to travel and work with animals.
Sales from the calendars will go towards to providing our wonderful fostering families and the children in their care with fun activities throughout 2024.
Cllr Luke Myer, Cabinet Member for Children, said:
“These calendars are simply delighful and would add a spalsh of cheer to any home. I have been so impressed by the imagination and resilience and positive attitude of so many of our most vulnerable children who may have had a tough start to life. It’s very moving.”
