North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO)*
NEPO is a purchasing and contracting consortium consisting of 12 member local authorities.
To register for free as a supplier please follow the link above, click supplier registration and follow the instructions. Registered suppliers will receive an e-mail notification when authorities advertise a contract through the system for the goods/services/works you have indicated that you can provide. You can then choose whether you wish to tender or quote for this contract:
- NEPO has an ongoing programme of supplier-focussed activities which includes:
- NEPO Business Club a programme of free events for suppliers interested in improving their public sector tendering skills.
- Developing best in class processes for doing business with the North East public sector.
- Applying public spending strategically and sustainably through collaborative procurement to improve the North East economy.

We encourage all Redcar and Cleveland based businesses to register on the Tees Valley Business Directory which will be used as the primary database to identify local organisations in preparation for undertaking quotation processes and pre-procurement market engagement.

Please note – The twelve North East Local Authorities will be using a new E-Procurement platform, which will be phased in during 2023.
The new system, Open, will replace the NEPO Portal (Pro Contract) and in order to bid for future contract opportunities suppliers are encouraged to register on Open as well as the NEPO Portal (Pro Contract) as the two systems will run in parallel during 2023.
