We would like to offer everyone working/volunteering in Redcar and Cleveland, be within the council or from a voluntary and community sector organisation/group the chance to take part in this programme.

So if you work with and support local residents and would like to find out more about how to become a Cost of Living Community Champion, please email: richard.gerrard@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk

Following your Money Guiders induction, you’ll be free to complete online modules, at a time of your choosing, dipping in and out of each module as often as you wish until completion.

Module topics include themes such as welfare & benefits, cashflow and budgeting, debt, and housing to name but a few. Participants are free to pick and choose which modules are of interest to them/relevant to work, and once completed, you’ll have the opportunity to progress to levels 2 and 3 of a given theme so that you can build upon your knowledge and understanding of a given topic.

If you wish to count your engagement with the programme towards your CPD there is a free City & Guilds Accreditation option too.

There is a robust evidence base to show that this programme has and continues to work, with numerous organisations across the country embedding this into their cost of living strategies.
