Changing your child's school is a very important decision to make and could affect your child's education.
We would strongly discourage unnecessary transfers between schools as it is extremely important that a child has continuity in their education.
If your child has a Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) you must contact the SEN team first if you are looking to move to another school.
If you are applying for a change of school due to a house move the application should be made no more than four school weeks before the place is required.
If you feel you have considered all aspects of transferring your child to a different school, and still wish to continue with a transfer request, please either:
- Email School Admissions to request a form – schools_admissions@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk
- Telephone School Admissions at 01642 837740 / 837730 who will advise you on the admissions process and school availability.
- Download the form below, complete and return it either by email (see above) or post to School Admissions Team, c/o Redcar & Cleveland House, Kirkleatham Street, Redcar, TS10 1RT
Please note that once School Admissions receive an application it can take approximately 15 school days for processing and the applicant will be contacted directly when there is an update.
