About the post-16 careers service

Information about the post-16 careers service and how to contact them.

We offer careers support to children and young people aged between 15 to 18, and to young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan who are aged up to 25.

Our key aims

  • Increase job opportunities, experiences of work and apprenticeships for young people;
  • Provide young people with opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes needed for employment;
  • Prevent young people becoming NEET through early intervention by tailoring support for school age young people, already known to be at risk;
  • Implement responsive interventions for young people who are already NEET to help them overcome their barriers and progress into a positive outcome.
