Leading child health experts agree the care given during the first 1,001 critical days (during pregnancy and up to 2 years) has more influence on a child’s future than at any other time in their life. Experiences during this time have a big effect on the health, wellbeing and opportunities for children throughout their lives. All families need some help to give their babies the best start in life, whether it is from healthcare professionals or volunteers, family or friends, there is a wide range of support and services available. We hope that by bringing together information about Start for Life services in one place, we can help you and your growing family access the support you need to help you give your children the best possible start in life.
