The Extraordinary Gertrude Bell: A story of adventure, discovery and political intrigue

Gertrude BellThis exhibition tells the story of the North East born explorer Gertrude Bell. An archaeologist, diplomat, linguist, writer and mountaineer who was a key figure in the discussions that led to the creation of Iraq following the defeat of the Ottoman Empire.

Orienteering Xplorer is a family activity using a map to find markers and help you explore the park. It is a first step into orienteering. The events will run on Saturdays throughout the year and Wednesdays during school holidays where times will vary.

Couch2Park Run (x2)

Couch 2 Park Run A beginners running group aimed at going from nothing to completing a 5km run at the end of 8 weeks. Based in Locke park the site of Redcar's parkrun.

There are 2 time slots 12pm-1pm and 5:30pm-6:30pm.

5k+ Running Group - From Sept 2016

parkrun Running group for people that are able to complete 5km and are wanting to progress either in speed over that distance or start to go further. It's a mixed pace group and sessions will include technique and coaching.

Turning the Tide Festival 2016 - World Mental Health Day

There will be interactive sessions, stalls , free taster sessions (including massage, laughter yoga head/ hand massage, everyone active, aromatherapy sessions), singing, and lots of freebies and give- a- ways available to all.

Ukulele Band Concert

UkulelesSkelton and Brotton Parish Council are delighted to present a Ukulele Concert featuring The Eskuleles.

They will also look at man's influence on the woods and the place of the woods in the wider landscape. Participants will be encouraged to record aspects of the woods through photos and drawings for our digital diary project.

classic recitalLee Jae Phang, Originally from Malaysia, Lee Jae studied at the Wells Cathedral School under John Byrne. Since arriving in the U.K., Lee Jae has participated in master classes with eminent piano professors, including Christopher Elton, Vanessa Latarche and Ronan O’Hora. He has also taken  lessons from Michel Beroff, Nelson Goerner and Stephen Hough.
