Under section 21 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 requires Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA) to establish and maintain an asset register to include;
- A register of structures or feature which is considered by the LLFA to have the impact to influence the flood risk in the immediate area;
- A record of specific information relating to the structure or feature, to include ownership and maintenance requirements for example.
The LLFA will arrange for the register to be made available for inspection at all reasonable times.
The LLFA is currently working in this area and compiling the information required. The LLFA will provide an update as soon as possible and a link to the register will be made available.
