In 2024, the UK Government launched the Long-Term Plan for Towns initiative to invest in communities across the UK. Up to £20 million will be provided to local authorities over a 10-year period, with a Town Deal Board setup to engage with the community and identify suitable socio-economic projects to invest in.
As of October 2025, the Government-funded initiative has now become Pride in Place Programme (PiPP). Investment of up to £20 million over a period of 10 years has remain unchanged, with projects to commence from 2026 onwards.
The TS6 Neighbourhood Together Board is led by a group of industry experts, business leaders, elected members, youth and education workers, health and wellbeing officers, and community representatives, who have volunteered to support the regeneration of TS6.
