What is the Household Energy Payment?
The Household Energy Payment will provide a £100 bank payment to households in Council Tax bands A to D in England, to help with their energy costs.
The payments will be made from January 2027 and will be made firstly to Direct Debit payers as the Council holds bank details for these residents.
If you don’t pay by direct debit, the Council will publish an online claim form on this page so that residents can confirm their bank details. This claim link will be available from January 2027.
Who is eligible?
Households used as a main home will be eligible. Second homes, empty properties or households where the householder isn’t responsible for paying council tax will not be eligible.
