A community grocery shop hosted within the Baptist Church, with a wide range of food options fresh from local supermarkets. Members can come and shop for their whole family at the fraction of the cost of a supermarket, whilst also saving hundreds of tonnes of food being wasted each year.

They offer courses/training and one-to-one support sessions for both members and non-members.

Hope For East Cleveland Community Grocery

Hope Church East Cleveland, High Street, Loftus, TS13 4HW 

Monday 10am till 11.30am

Tuesday 10am till 11.30am 

Thursday 12.30pm till 2pm

Friday 10am till 11.30am 

The Grocery is a low-cost shop, where members can buy 8 items plus fresh produce each week for £2. The typical cost of these items would be £15-20.

They are supported by FareShare Northeast in distributing produces that would usually go to landfill or waste but is in perfectly good condition. The only condition of membership is to live in the East Cleveland area.

In Harmony Food Revolution

145 High Street, Redcar, TS10 3DQ

Open: Monday and Wednesday at 9am-11am,

10am-12pm Friday and 9:30am-12pm Saturday.

In Harmony Food Revolution (IHFR) is a Community Interest Company dedicated to preventing food waste and providing education around food, nutrition and growing and cooking healthy food.

They host a Community Fridge providing access to free food from supermarkets that would have otherwise gone to waste and also host lunch clubs and other training activities.
