Redcar and Cleveland’s Local Offer is a free information directory that shows what support or provision is available in our area for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities aged 0 – 25 years old and their families.
Redcar and Cleveland’s Local Offer is a free information directory that shows what support or provision is available in our area for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities aged 0 – 25 years old and their families.
It covers education, health, and social care services from local agencies, as well as external organisations such as private day care nurseries and voluntary sector. The Local Offer provides information for both those with and without Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plans.
The Local Offer aims to enable people to make more informed choices about the services they want to use and to make provisions/settings responsive to local needs.
It is for:
- Children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities
- Parent, Carers and Families
- Professionals such as SENDCo’s, social workers etc
- Services such as private nurseries, charitable organisations, voluntary sector etc
The Local Offer is required by law as part of the Children and Families Act 2014.
