The Council owns and manages an extensive property portfolio throughout the Borough and seeks to ensure that portfolio is managed to achieve best value in delivering services for our residents. We are also actively involved in the regeneration of the Borough and as part of these activities we will have properties which are either available for sale or to rent.
Community Asset Transfer Policy
Under the Council's Community Asset Transfer Policy, local community groups can submit a business plan as part of the marketing process of Council properties so that their proposals can be considered for a lease or licence to occupy, if appropriate. We encourage any community groups with an interest in submitting a business proposal, as part of a Community Asset Transfer, to contact the Asset Management Team to discuss their requirements before proceeding.
