Adult Social Care Strategy
This strategy sets out our priorities for Adult Social Care for the next three years.
It has been developed to support service planning and improvement; it builds on our journey to date and the learning we have taken by placing the people we serve at the heart of the decisions we make.
It is a living document; we will build on it throughout its lifetime through consultation and co-production with the adults and unpaid carers we support.
We are confident that the priorities set out here and their focus on early intervention, prevention, engagement, and a performance framework that measures what truly matters to people, will enable us to address our most pressing challenges and deliver on our corporate vision to make Redcar and Cleveland a place where people can “live well and age well”.

Prevention Strategy
Prevention is a crucial part of our adult social care offer here in Redcar and Cleveland.
Many of our services are focused on preventing the development of care needs, delaying the onset of needs, or giving people the support they need to regain their independence.
This document sets out our strategic approach for prevention in adult social care over the next three years.

Learning Disability Strategy
Our Learning Disability Strategy sets out how we will work with people with a learning disability, families, carers and partners to help people live safe, healthy, independent and fulfilling lives. Developed alongside people with lived experience, the strategy focuses on what matters most to people: being safe, having good health, receiving the right support, maintaining family and friendships, and having opportunities for work and purpose.
Over the next five years, we will work together to reduce inequalities, promote choice and control, strengthen community inclusion, and ensure people with a learning disability have the same opportunities and life chances as everyone else.

Our Adult Social Care Workforce Strategy sets out how we will attract, develop and retain a skilled, compassionate and values-led workforce to deliver high-quality support for adults and carers across Redcar and Cleveland.
