Information about the Loftus Conservation Area Management Plan SPD consultation can be found here.

Public consultation Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council

The Council has prepared the Loftus Conservation Area Management Plan Draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to provide further information on the Council’s approach to preserving and enhancing the Loftus Conservation Area and how this will be monitored.

It will be adopted as an SPD in order to provide further guidance on Policy HE1 of the Adopted Redcar & Cleveland Local Plan, which sets out the Council’s policy for the determination of planning applications within or affecting conservation areas.

The SPD is supported by a revised Loftus Conservation Area Appraisal, which replaces the previous appraisal that was published in 2011.

The appraisal provides a record and evaluation of the key elements that make up the special interest and character of the Loftus Conservation Area and is available to view, alongside the consultation document,
