There are instances where demand for places in certain secondary schools is higher than the total number of available places. In these cases, the following applies to waiting lists and the allocation of places:
- If places become available in an over-subscribed school after parents have been informed of the allocation of places, the available places will be allocated in line with the authority's published over-subscription criteria.
- If parents have not been successful in gaining a place at their preferred school their child's name will be placed on a waiting list. Should places become available places will be allocated in accordance with the over-subscription criteria. Waiting lists will be maintained until the end of the Autumn term 2020.
