Closing Date for Making Applications
Completed applications must be made by no later than the published closing date of 31 October 2020.
Where parents have expressed a preference for a Roman Catholic Academy and additional information is required, parents should also complete the supplementary form and return it by 31 October 2020. This form is available from the 'Related Documents' section.
Primary schools will be advised of parents who have not made an application and will be asked to help in reminding parents to do so. The LA will also send a reminder letter to parents who have not applied and the LA Choice Adviser will also assist in chasing up outstanding applications and helping parents with the application, if required.
Parents should note that failure to apply by the closing date may reduce their chance of receiving a place in their preferred school, if that school is over-subscribed.
Every parent/guardian must make an
application. This applies even if your
child lives in the admission zone for your preferred school or your child has a
brother or sister attending the school in the 2021/22 school year

Late applications will be treated as received on time only if there are exceptional reasons for their lateness, and if they are received before the allocation of places are made. Exceptional reasons for lateness may include, for example, when a single parent has been ill for some time, or a family has just moved into the area. Where applications have been received late without good reason, they will not be considered until all applications received on time have been considered.
