Alternative Education Quality Assurance Scheme

Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council have introduced an Accredited Provider Scheme for Alternative Education Provision.

Through the Accredited Provider Scheme we aim to raise standards of alternative education and increase the range of the offer within the borough available to young people, while offering support and advice to providers.

Providers who are successful under the voluntary scheme will be promoted as an Accredited Provider by the Council and their information will be used by staff from mainstream schools/the PRU and local authority staff and highlighted on the Personal Information Network (PIN) and Councils Local Offer as Accredited Provision.

Membership of the Accredited Provider Scheme is voluntary and will be reviewed regularly in conjunction with compliance visits, at least annually.

How to Gain Accreditation:
Step 1 - To complete the short Business Questionnaire. To be returned no later than 1 calendar month from receipt of this letter.
Step 2 Once returned we will issue the Quality Monitoring report and arrange a visit to appraise your ability to meet the criteria of the scheme including demonstrating Quality of Provision, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
Step 3 - If successful a Certificate of Accreditation on to the scheme will be approved and issued. Your organisation will then be included in the Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council Alternative Education Accredited Provider Directory.
