Greater Eston Design Code SPD
This Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) is to provide guidance to developers and the Council on the design of all future development in Greater Eston. The Code will be applied throughout the design process from pre-application discussions to implementation. The Design Code will be updated throughout the course of the regeneration programme when new projects are identified.
Skelton and Brotton Neighbourhood Development Plan SPD
The Skelton and Brotton Neighbourhood Development Plan SPD sets out detailed planning guidance for any applications within the Skelton and Brotton parish area. The SPD will be used as a material consideration in the determination of any planning applications within the Skelton and Brotton parish area.

Design of Residential Areas SPD
The Design of Residential Areas Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) was adopted by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council on 21 July 2011.
The SPD provides detailed guidance in support of adopted Core Strategy Policy CS20 and adopted Development Policies Policy DP3. The SPD is an easy to use reference document which sets out the standard of design that is expected for new residential development proposals. It is based on the premise that good quality sustainable residential design is beneficial to developers, residents and the community as a whole.

Affordable Housing SPD
The Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) was adopted on the 13th October 2011.
The SPD provides guidance on the provision of affordable housing in Redcar and Cleveland for developments of 15 dwellings or more. The SPD builds upon 'saved' Local Plan Policy H9, which sets out the Council's requirements for affordable housing and LDF Core Strategy Policies CS1 and CS13, which seeks to ensure that new housing developments consist of a mix of types and tenures. The Shop Fronts and Advertisements Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) provides guidance on the design of shop fronts and advertisements in Redcar & Cleveland.
