Signs of Safety – Information for Partner Agencies and Schools
In February and March 2019 we held a series of briefing sessions to raise awareness of the Signs of Safety way of working with representatives from schools and our partner agencies (this includes the police, health service, fire service, social housing providers, probation, youth offending service and voluntary sector organisations).
The briefing sessions provided an introduction to the Signs of Safety Assessment and Planning Framework that our social workers and early help workers will be using with children and families, and explained how our multi agency meetings will change.
Although Signs of Safety is the name of the overarching model, the language changes according to the area of practice.
- Signs of Safety – Child protection and social work support for children with a disability
- Signs of Wellbeing – Early help
- Signs of Success – Children in our care and care leavers
To find out more about the Signs of Safety way of working and what this means for the partner agency and school representatives that attend our multi agency meetings, please have a look at the following documents.
The Signs of Safety way of working in Redcar & Cleveland is supported by a number of multi-agency strategic Boards including the Local Safeguarding Children's Board and the Children and Young People's Partnership Board. Organisations attending these meetings have pledged their support to this new way of working and committed to support our Signs of Safety Charter.
