What is the Families' Information Service?
Please note, due to COVID-19, the FIS team are working from home and unable to answer calls made to the freephone helpline. Instead, please email your queries to:

The Families' Information Service provides information, advice and guidance for parents, carers, practitioners and children on the wide range of services and activities/events available for children and young people aged 0-20 years old.
Free childcare searches to all public and professionals. We offer independent information and advice about the childcare provision throughout Redcar and Cleveland, including registered day nurseries, childminders, playgroups, crèches, out of school clubs, and unregistered breakfast clubs, parent and toddler groups, holiday play schemes and holiday activities.
15 hours free childcare for 2 year olds.
We have information and advice about the free nursery education places for 2 year olds. We process all applications which can be done by following this link to our PIN website 2YO FNE Online Applications
or alternatively you can freephone 0800 073 8800 to discuss eligibility criteria or where to take/use the hours.
30 hours free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds of working parents.
