Resizing Text

PLEASE NOTE: the text size on this website has been set to be user-controllable rather than being a fixed size. This is in
compliance with Government Guidelines for accessibility and will enable you to increase the size of the text.

On Internet Explorer the default Text Size is Medium, if you have the Text Size set to Smaller or Smallest, you may find that the text is too small. The following guide will explain how to change size of text in your browser.

In Internet Explorer:
  • In the 'View' menu on your browser, rollover the 'Text Size' option and click on 'Medium'. This is the optimal setting.
  • If you would like the text to be larger, then simply go to the 'View' menu, rollover the 'Text Size' option and click on 'Larger' or 'Largest'.

NOTE: If the text is not resized by following Step 1 then on the 'Tools' menu click on 'Internet Options', then click on the 'Accessibility' button. Tick the box next to 'Ignore font sizes specified on web pages'.

In Firefox:
  • In Tools menu select Options.
  • In the pop-up box select Content tab
  • Under Font & Colours adjust to Size.
  • NOTE if this does not change the font size follow the steps above then select Advanced and untick the box 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above'

In Chrome:
  • Select customise and control Google chrome
  • Press + or - on Zoom

In Safari:
  • Open the general Safari settings menu
  • Select Preferences
  • In the pop-up box choose Appearance
  • Click select next to standard font
  • Adjust the size on the right side of the box

In Opera:
  • In view menu highlight zoom.
  • You can adjust the size by selecting the appropriate % value.
