Consultation on the South Tees Development Corporation Master Plan SPD
The Council is currently consulting on the South Tees Masterplan Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). This SPD provides guidance for the purposes of delivering the South Tees Development Corporation regeneration project. Consultation on Local Plan Main Modifications

The Redcar & Cleveland Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for examination on 19 April 2017. The Examination hearing sessions took place during September and October 2017 led by Inspector Matthew Birkinshaw. The Inspector has now written to the Council to confirm that the Examination can proceed to consultation on the Main Modifications. Main Modifications are those which the Inspector considers are necessary to make the plan sound and/or legally compliant. The consultation documents are available for inspection throughout the consultation period on the Councils consultation portal by selecting the link below:

The consultation documents will also be available at the Councils offices at Redcar and Cleveland House, Kirkleatham Street, Redcar and Belmont House, Rectory Lane, Guisborough during office opening hours (Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm) and at the Boroughs libraries. The opening hours of individual branch libraries are available on the Councils website by selecting this link.

The statutory consultation period in which representations can be made on legal compliance and the soundness of the Main Modifications and the corresponding Sustainability Appraisal and Habitats Regulations Assessment will run from Monday 20 November until 5:00pm on Wednesday 10 January 2018.

It is recommended that comments are made through the consultation portal by selecting the link above or by completing a representation form. Paper copies of the representation form are available on request by:
