Procurement Strategy

The Procurement Strategy provides a framework within which all Council procurement activity is to be managed.

Sustainable Procurement Policy

Sustainable procurement is an approach to buying products and services that takes into account the economic, environmental and social impacts of what the Council buys. In October 2010, the Councils Cabinet adopted our first Sustainable Procurement Policy, which sets out what we will do to ensure sustainability is considered in any procurement activity. The policy is underpinned by our Procurement Strategy and the actions contained within it. Our policy is available below:




The Council's Constitution

The Council's Constitution sets out how the Council operates, how decisions are made and the procedures which are followed to ensure that the Council's functions are exercised in an efficient and transparent manner; and that the Council is accountable to local people.

National Procurement Concordat for SMEs

This is a statement of principles to encourage effective trade between local authorities and small businesses.




Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council Contracts Register

The Contracts Register provides details of the Councils current contracts in accordance with the Transparency agenda.

The Contracts Register is published on the NEPO Portal.
