What does a Member of Youth Parliament do?
As a Member of Youth Parliament you will have to make sure you do a few things to fulfill your role. These include:
- You will be expected to talk to your constituents (the young people in Redcar & Cleveland) and ask their views on particular issues as well as making sure any other issues they have are listened to and shared when and where needed.
- There are meetings such as the Annual Sitting which require your attendance as well as other meetings across the year which you will be invited to as the Redcar & Cleveland UK Youth Parliament representative and as a voice for young people within local government.
Don't worry if this seems a little overwhelming, you will receive full support from a Youth Worker within our Redcar & Cleveland Youth Service.
