Facebook adds CEOP tab
The police in the UK are making their support known for the new ClickCEOP button. The so-called panic button has just been introduced by Facebook, although not in the omnipresent form that CEOP (the Child Exploitation and Online Protection centre) originally wanted. Instead, its an application that teenagers must install before they can use.
Adverts targeted at thirteen to eighteen-year-old Facebook users have been set in motion to let them know about this feature, and encourage them to deploy it, but police around the country have also chimed in to underline the importance of installing the button.
