We have vacancies for 10 Apprenticeship opportunities for 18 24 year olds in the following areas:

Ü Health and Fitness Advisors (Gym)

Ü Leisure Assistants (Lifeguards)

Ü Administration and Reception

You will earn £91.00 per week whilst completing a full apprenticeship programme, gaining both work experience as well as working towards NVQ level 2 qualification and Key Skills

35 hours per week working a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends

Expected Duration: 12 months

Tees Active is a successful Leisure Management Company that operates state of the art leisure facilities in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees including: 3 gyms, 3 swimming Pools, an Ice arena, sports centres and a Watersports facility. We are committed to training and personal development and employ over 350 people in a multitude of professional disciplines. With in excess of 1.7 million visits per year and 6 venues, we are a significant player in the regional delivery of sport and health and fitness activities and have an increasing reputation for the quality of operation and delivery.

Applicants must be:

• Committed to working within the leisure industry with an interest in sport and physical activity (for example in participation, organisation or administration)
• Self motivated with a positive attitude
• Hard working
• Able to work in a team and use own initiative
• Good communicators with effective interpersonal skills
• Committed to service excellence
• Willing to learn and develop.

Applicants for the Leisure Assistants must be strong swimmers. This will be subject to assessment.

In return for your commitment and enthusiasm, you will have a mentor to support you with your extensive training and development plan which will lead to a recognised, accredited industry wide qualification(s). You will also have access to some excellent facilities and benefits.

Due to the nature of the business the majority of posts are subject to satisfactory CRB clearance. Applicants must be able to travel between our venues as apprentices will be expected to gain experience in a range of our facilities.
