Dirty Matthew wins Battle of the Bands!
Tuned In's Battle of the Bands has been won by local band Dirty Matthew after a closely fought battle that went right to the wire. On the final day of voting, compeitition was fierce with the leader changing every couple of hours between local bands Domminus and Dirty Matthew.
At midnight the votes were counted and the winner was declared as Dirty Matthew, who were publically congratulated by runners up Domminus on Facebook saying "Thanks to everyone that voted on our video on Battle of The Bands! We came 2nd and had tough competition and we'd like to congratulate Dirty Matthew on winning!" The band have won a promotions package including a photo shoot and a day with an artist to develop their brand.
The Battle of the Bands competition brought together five local young bands from across Redcar and Cleveland - The Last Call, Domminus, Fergus, Dirty Matthew and Up In Smoke. Each band was given the opportunity to work with a professional film maker to create their very own music video to a song of their choice. The band members were given creative freedom for their films and made decisions about the look and feel of their video. Once completed, all of the videos were uploaded onto the Tuned In! website for voting and each of the bands were given a slot at Tuned In @ SHINE festival to promote themselves and get their fans voting!
