Lots of people can enjoy drinking without it causing them any problems. But some people can get addicted to it, which means they start to rely on it.
Alcohol might make people do things they can regret later. Dont forget that alcohol is a drug and can cause serious long term problems.
How much is too much?
" 3-4 units a day for a man with two days alcohol free.
" 2-3 units a day for a woman with two days alcohol free.
" There are no recommended units for youngpeople.
" Most alcopops are 1.5-1.8 units, and a litre bottle of 7.5% cider is 7.5 units.
" A unit is half a pint of beer or a single measure of spirits.
" When you drink more than this in one day its called binge drinking and its bad for your health.
