Teenage Pregnancy & Parenting Support Service
Redcar and Cleveland Council
Support, advice and information for teenagers who think they might be pregnant, pregnant teenagers and teenage parents.
Sexual Health Services, contraception services, sex and relationship education.
C-Card Scheme is a confidential service for 13-19 year olds where they can access free condoms from various outlets (some youth centres, Connexions, Target). When registering for a C-Card the young person will receive guidance and advice around safe sex and condom use and must meet the Fraser Guidelines if under the age of 16.
This service does not encourage young people to have sex, but does encourage delay and promotes safe sexual activity. Each young person who accesses the service receives education around these issues and the consequences of early and unprotected sex.
