Anti Social Behaviour Team

Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council

Anti-Social Behaviour Team investigates reports of disorder (involving young
people and adults) as well as neighbour nuisance and can implement actions to
help alleviate such issues.

Actions can include diversion, prevention or enforcement depending on the
nature of the complaint and available evidence to support the appropriate
interventions.

The ASB team is part of a multi agency network that can also:

Support victims of anti-social behaviour in their homes or through the court
process. Offer parenting support and associated interventions. Prepare and
implement applications for Anti-Social Behaviour Orders. Visit schools and
youth/community groups to educate young people on the consequences of ASB and
the effect this behaviour has on the wider community. Information will also be
offered to groups in relation to the services offered by the ASB team and how
to report nuisance behaviour. Co-ordinate and facilitate community based
diversionary schemes for young people.
