CHILD Deaf Youth Project (CDYP)

CHILD Deaf Youth Project (CDYP)is a registered charity working for all D/deaf and hard of hearing children and young people in the Tees Valley. We provide new opportunities and experiences during out of school hours and holiday periods for young people aged 5 to 18 years. CDYP activities reduce isolation, develop skills and self confidence and encourage independence.

Activities include:

Over 11's Youth Club, for age 11 to 18 years on Wednesdays 6.00 - 8.00pm - term time only.

Under 11's Youth Club for age 5 to 11 years on Thursdays 4.00 - 6.00pm - term time only

Full day holiday activities are held instead of the Youth Club sessions during school holidays for both groups on their corresponding days, plus occasional residential activities for the Over 11's group. Prices vary dependent upon the activity

BSL Level 1 for hearing siblings aged 6-14 are also available each calendar year, plus for those deaf children whose skills are limited.
