Not many people in the Redcar & Cleveland area are aware that there is a credit union on their doorstep.
A credit union is a profit sharing, financial co-operative, owned and controlled by its members and its aims are to encourage members to save regularly, provide loans to members at a low rate of interest after a qualifying period of saving for 13 consecutive weeks, and to help and support members with managing their finances.
We also run various schemes :- Co-op Electrical Goods, Quit and Save, Christmas savers, Baby Bump Bank & Junior savers.
The credit union can also help revive the local economy by keeping money within the community and also provides a focal point by bringing people together, to work alongside each other for their own benefit but also for that of the community.
Volunteers are NEEDED to help out at our collection points, full training is given freely.
If you are interested or would like details of our collection points, please contact us on 01642 488227 or check out our website at www.rcmoneytreecu.co.uk.
