Design Awards 2012

Entries for the 2012 Design Awards have closed and the judging has taken place.

2012 Design Award Winners

A panel of expert assessors, with representatives from architecture, landscape, urban design and planning, congratulated three award wining projects and gave commendations to a further five.

Councillor Peter Spencer, the Council's Built Environment Champion said: "The winners have achieved outstanding results and impressed the judges with great design and the use of quality materials and landscaping."

The presentations of plaques and certificates by Councillor Spencer took place on Thursday 14 March 2013.

The six award winning and commended projects were:

Eco Village refurbished properties, South Bank

Dormanstown Primary School, Redcar

Commendations

Refurbishment of Cargo Fleet Offices, South Bank

Low Grange District Centre, South Bank

Redcar Fire Station extension, Redcar

Prior Pursglove art sculpture, Guisborough

Mosaics art feature, Saltburn
