Community Protection Officers

The scheme now consists of 35 Community Protection Officers. The scheme became fully operational on 7th January 2002 and was supplemented by government funded wardens from June 2002.

The service was granted re accreditation by the Chief Constable of Cleveland Police ^† on 24th January 2010, which enables the Community Protection Officers to use new powers which will be rolled out in the near future.
