We have a vision for the Borough to have an excellent environment for everyone living, learning, working and visiting here and its important to us that we let you know how we are progressing in meeting our priorities.
We have agreed with our partner organisations key outcomes and priorities which we are working jointly to achieve and these are included in Our Plan, the Councils corporate plan that sets out the major activities of the Council in the coming months.
Performance management of Our Plan
We manage all aspects of our performance in order to be effective and efficient and to ensure we can be confident that we are delivering what we said we would deliver. How well we are delivering the priorities within Our Plan is monitored and reported monthly through our Executive Management Team and Members.
We include this information in a monthly Corporate Performance Overview Report which is taken to Cabinet and then to Scrutiny Board.
Our Performance Improvement Framework
Our Performance Improvement Framework helps us to ensure we do what we say we will do and deliver our services in a timely and professional manner, having due regard to the needs and expectations of our citizens. The framework links Our Plan through to personal appraisals for every member of staff and it pulls together key documentation, timetables, methodologies, information systems to manage all aspects of our performance.
The framework sets out things clearly for Members, management, staff, partners and the public. To aid accountability in all areas, it is structured around five key elements:

- Scrutiny & Challenge
- Training & Support
