Adopted Development Plan


The adopted development plan is the statutory framework for guiding development proposals and is the primary basis for the consideration of planning applications.

The following guidance note will help you understand what documents make up the development plan for Redcar and Cleveland:

The development plan now consists of the North East Regional Spatial Strategy, the Local Development Framework and a number of saved policies in the Local Plan. The remaining saved policies in the Local Plan will eventually be replaced by the Local Development Framework as new documents are developed during the period up to 2011.
