Redcar Triathlon 2016

The Redcar Sprint Triathlon is a continuous swimming, cycling and running race over the recognised sprint distances of 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5k run. The event is organised by Tri Hard Events Ltd in partnership with the Council.

The event starts with a 750m sea swim which will be a mass start on the beached area next to the Dundas slipway, the 20km cycle will take place on closed roads along The Seafront between Zetland roundabout and Majuba Road. It will comprise 6 fast flat laps making a total distance of 20k.

The run will be 1x 5k lap east from the transition area along the seafront to the turn point just beyond the junction with Green Lane. Then retrace, to the finish.

The transition area and seafront area provides a great vantage point for family and supporters to view virtually all of the action from start to finish.
