Voter Registration Week

Voter Registration Week takes place between 1 to 7 February

If you have not registered to vote please visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or contact Electoral Services at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, on 01642 774774. The deadline for registrations is 13 April, to register we'll need to know your date of birth and National Insurance number.
Once registered you will be sent a poll card before 4 May, this will contain details of where you polling station is. You do not need to take your polling card with you to vote (unless you are an anonymous elector), but it will help staff. You can only vote at the polling station stated on this card.

Why not vote by post?
Postal voting is simple and free - If you're a registered postal voter, your ballot paper will be sent to you from 18 April and if you have not received your postal vote by 27 April please contact Electoral Services before polling day.
You must return your postal vote so that it is delivered to your electoral registration office by 10am on 4 May in the envelope provided, or at a polling station in your borough on polling day.

Not able to vote in person?
If you have applied to have someone vote on your behalf (a proxy), make sure they which candidate/candidates you wish to vote for.

If you wish to apply to vote by post or appoint someone you trust to vote on your behalf as a proxy, download a form from www.aboutmyvote.co.uk complete it fully and return it to:
