The Data Protection Act 1998 regulates the processing of information about living individuals. The Council will process personal data in compliance with this legislation.

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 covers information that is held within the organisation that is not personal data. The Council maintains a publication scheme which gives you access to all the main documents we think you would be interested in. If the information you require is not in this scheme, you can make a Freedom of Information Request and ask for the information to be considered for disclosure.

Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council publishes a wide range of booklets, leaflets and guidance both in hard copy and on its web site. The majority of this information may be re-used free of charge provided that the user acknowledges the Authority's copyright. Where any charges and/or other terms and conditions apply to re-use these are stated at the appropriate point in the Authority's Publication Scheme.
