DfE White Paper Educational Excellence Everywhere

The Government has published a white paper entitled  Educational Excellence Everywhere which sets out educational plans for the next 5 years, building on and extending reforms to "achieve educational excellence everywhere" - based on the following priorities and guiding principles:

Within the white paper there is a commitment for all schools to become academies by 2022. This had led to much discussion nationally and locally on how best individual schools and their governing boards can move forward under the Government's vision.

A useful source of reading is a  Houses of Parliament Briefing Paper Every School an Academy: The White Paper Proposals". It discusses the Government's proposals around academy conversion, the reaction that has followed the announcement, and also provides information on academy performance.
