Children with Disabilities Team Newsletters

The Redcar & Cleveland Children with Disabilities Team publish a quarterly newsletter called Family Focus for parents of children who have a disability.

We know how important it is for families to receive regular, accurate and useful information. In Family Focus we tell you what has been happening recently and what is planned in the near future. We try to feature a mix of services, activities and events for our families to read about. In each issue there is a pull-out newsletter for the children and young people, Focus on Fun.

We want to reach families who have children with disabilities and are not in receipt of our services in the hope that the information is helpful and may also give them a flavour of the services we offer.

As part of the Aiming High for Disabled Children agenda, we are currently transforming the services we offer to families, as well as the way in which they are accessed. Therefore, you can keep updated on new services available by reading Family Focus or by checking the Families Guide website regularly.

In addition to Family Focus, we have produced an information pack of factsheets for families with disabled children with the Families Information Service. These can be seen on the Families Guide website or you can request one by telephoning 01642 771645.
